REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the State Palace, here, on Monday received the management of Recording Industry Association (Asiri) and the Association of Singer Artists, Songwriters and Musicians.
On the occasion, President Jokowi was accompanied by numerous state officials, among others Minister/State Secretary Pratikno, National Police Chief General Badrodin Haiti, Industry Minister Saleh Husein, and the chief of Creative Economic Board, Triawan Munaf.
Also present were numerous artists such as Anang Hermansyah, Akshanti, Sam Bimbo, Dwiki Dharmawan, Vena Melinda, and Zaskia Gothik.
Triawan Munaf said they met the president to discuss ways to combating piracy and copyright.
"President Jokowi has the commitment to protecting the artists and enforcing the law on piracy and copyright," he said.
