REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The National Agency for the Placement and Protection of Indonesian Workers (BNP2TKI) will strengthen the quality of Indonesian Workers (TKI) by creating a certification agency of international nurses.
"Philippines sent the nurses, Indonesia send domestic helpers (Housemaid) so the income of nurses is bigger," said Head BNP2TKI Nusron Wahid in Jakarta, on Saturday, May 16.
Nusron claimed that they facilitated by Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) to create a certification agency of international nursing profession. The nurses could obtain a certificate internationally to increase their salaries.
He said the international nurses certification agency or NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Examination Nurse Register) in Asia done by four countries, namely India, Philippines, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Therefore, if Indonesian nurse want to get an international certificate they should come to Philippines. Now, the certification will be facilitated in order to exist in Indonesia.
"Assessors will come from Philippines, a competence test in Indonesia, profession certification agency in Indonesia," he said.
