REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The governors in Indonesia in the Association of Indonesian Provincial Government (APPSI) requested additional funds of IDR 1 trillion to be given in every province.

Chairman of APPSI as well as South Sulawesi Governor Syahrul Yasin Limpo explained, the request from province leaders is the result of the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) which held some time ago.

"Today we will submit the results of rakernas. Results of Rakernas are to ask the government to add IDR 1 trillion to each province, as food and infrastructure solutions," said Syahrul while attending the gathering of all governors with Minister of National Development Planning Board (Bappenas), on Monday, May 11.

Syahrul demand came alongside President Joko Widodo’s plan to disburse IDR 100 billion for urban districts throughout Indonesia. The funds, Syahrul added, solely devoted to the construction of basic infrastructure. Meanwhile, the development in the fields of food and supporting infrastructure are untouched.
