VP said President's Chief of Staff can be reshuffled

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA –- The discourse about cabinet reshuffle of Jokowi-JK government lately often arising since the outcome of ministers performance were rated less than satisfactory. Vice President Jusuf Kalla also thinks all ministers, including President's Chief of Staff or also known as Chief of of the Presidential Office, Luhut B Pandjaitan, has a chance to be reshuffled.

"Anyone who is appointed by the president, whoever was appointed by president, can be replaced by the president. That's the formula," said Kalla at the Hotel JS Luwansa, Jakarta, on Wednesday, May 6.

The reshuffle, he said, is needed to improve the performance of government. Nevertheless, he is not sure when the reshuffle will be done.

"Not yet, just wait the time. Just be patient," added Kalla.

As is known, recently discourse about cabinet reshuffle of the Working Cabinet in the Jokowi government emerged, particularly on economic team. Public were not satisfied with the team's performance given the slump in Indonesian economy today.

Earlier, the Cabinet secretary Andi Widjajanto has also said that chief of the presidential office not included in the evaluation list, because the chief of the presidential office was in charge of monitoring the priority scale program.
