BKPM launch integrity zone

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) launched The Integrity Zone towards Free of Corruption Area (WBK) and The Area of Clean Bureaucracy and Serve (WBBM) in BKPM office, at the central office of BKPM in Jakarta, Tuesday, May 5.

Chairman of BKPM Franky Sibarani said, the launching of Integrity Zone in BKPM is an effort to build environment which are free of corruption and service oriented, especially in license service and non-license related of investment to investor and businesses.

Franky explained implementation of PTSP (one-stop integrated service) center in BKPM also one form of building integrity zone. To support PTSP center, the agency has built up an online monitoring system that allows the ministry/agency that is involved in PTSP Center to monitor the publication of license and non-license. Investors could also utilize the system to determine the progress of the proposed licensing application process.

"The implementation of PTSP center in BKPM in line with the implementation of the Reformation and Bureaucracy in BKPM environment that covering eight areas of change, one area of improving the quality of public services,” said Franky on the events.

According to him, reformation and bureaucratic had been implementing in the BKPM environment since 2011 involved management and employers of BKPM.

The integrity zone is the title given to government agencies that are committed to realize the WBK/WBBM through bureaucratic and reformation, especially in terms of preventing corruption and improving the quality of public services. In building the integrity zone, leaders of government agencies set up one or several units proposed as a Corruption-Free Area (WBK) / Area of Clean Bureaucracy and Serve (WBBM).

BKPM formed the Working Group team that will establish a unit at the BKPM as a pilot project for the implementation bureaucratic and reformation as mandated by ministerial regulation of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry, Number 52 of 2014.

The selection of the proposed unit as WBK/WBBM has several requirements that have been set. That is, regarded as important or strategic unit in the public service, as well as manage the large enough resources. Moreover, it has a success bureaucratic reformation rate that is high enough in the unit.
