REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CIANJUR -- Six residents of the West Java District of Cianjur fell victims after drinking adulterated liquor, three of them died and the rest were admitted to hospital.
The dead victims are identified as Doni Sunarya (31), Dogol (22) and Atep (24), while the rest who survived and were allowed to return home are Jeka, Ridwan Taufik, and Nyanyang.
One of the survivors, Ridwan Taufik (19) said, prior to the incident on Friday afternoon, the young men conducted a party of adulterated liquor while enjoying four bottles of whiskey mixed with drinks for the stamina strengthening.
As they have not felt the effects, they then bought another four bottles of the adulterated liquor. They conducted the party, from day to night with a number of drinks that reached 8 bottles.
To date, the youth concerned often bought alcohol because the price is cheaper than in other places.
