REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR -- The government, through the National Archives of Indonesia (ANRI), has registered the Asia-Africa Conference (AAC) file at UNESCO for inclusion in the Memory of the World Register, ANRI Chief Mustari Irawan stated here, Wednesday (29/4).
"We have sent the file to UNESCO office in France to be included in the Memory of the World Register," Mustari noted, adding that the file was also accompanied by four letters of support from the governments of Sri Lanka, India, Myanmar, and Pakistan.
The four countries along with Indonesia were the founders of the AAC.
He expressed hope that the spirit of the AAC in 1955 in Bandung, West Java, will continue to stay alive and be known as a world heritage through the Memory of the World Register.
