Mary Jane vows to prove her innocent

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The dead convicted from Filipina, Mary Jane Fiesta Veloso had escaped execution in the closing minutes, Wednesday (29/4) morning earlier. The news instantly creates happiness on Mary Jane's Family.

Mary Jane's Attorney, Agus Salim said he wanted to prove that his client only as a mediator. Surrendering city narcotics recruit Mary Jane, yesterday apparently potent delay the execution.

"The Philippine government had done diplomacy, Alhamdulillah, Jokowi want to think again," he said, when contacted by reporters on Wednesday (29/4). Agus admitted, although the execution was only postponed, the company and the family felt happy. According to Agus, the family was very sad ahead of execution.

Earlier, the Head of Information and Law (Kapuspenkum) Indonesia Attorney General,Tony Tribagus Spontana said, the delay of Mary Jane's execution as a demand from President of the Philippines. Because, a drug dealer had surrendered and Mary Jane called as a key witness.

 

The postponement of Mary Jane's execution make the number of convicted death became eight people. The eight men, among others, Andrew Chan (Australia), Myuran Sukumaran (Australia), and Zainal Abidin (Indonesia), Raheem Agbaje Salami (Nigeria), Rodrigo Gularte (Brazil), Martin Anderson (Ghana), Silvester Obiekwe Nwaolise (Nigeria), and Okwudilu Oyatanze (Nigeria).
