According to Corrine, among other metropolitan cities in Indonesia, Makassar's economic growth had been advanced and stable during the last decade.

The Ambassador remarked that among other cities in Southeast Asia, Makassar's economic growth has been advancing. The development of the city has been dynamic and in line with the program for the region.

Corrine and several French businesspeople proposed cooperation in a number of fields, including mass transportation, sanitation and spatial management, infrastructure development, and green energy.

"We have proposed cooperation in a lot of sectors. I hope the Mayor will consider our proposals," Corrine added.

Additionally, Mayor Ramdhan pointed out that the city administration has a plan to develop Makassar as a safe and secure city for all people.

Ramdhan observed that besides the French cooperation proposals, there have been several other infrastructure developments in Makassar.

The mayor revealed the city administration has been coordinating with a Japanese corporation for planning the development of its mass transportation sector.

However, Ramdhan stated, French corporations can also participate in the planning of the city's mass transportation sector.

Ramdhan added the city administration will select a cooperation proposal that can provide cheaper and profitable value.
