REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR -- Former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) has called on the public to support the Joko Widodo administration in its fight against illicit drugs, corruption and terrorism.
"Lets support the eradication of illicit drugs, corruption and terrorism in this country under the leadership of President Joko Widodo," he said here, Sunday (8/3).
The government needs the people's support in its efforts to create good governance, SBY, currently the chairman of the Democratic Party (PD), stated.
The public, however, also must participate in overseeing the governance, he added.
SBY accompanied by his wife, Ani Yudhoyono, his son, Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono, his brother in-law, Pramono Edhie Wibowo, and Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika, joined the public during a car-free day event which allows the public to do sport activities such as exercise, jogging, bicycling, and skateboarding in certain main streets in Denpasar.
