Japanese Ambassador meets West Java Vice Governor to protect the citizens

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia, Yasuaki Tanizaki, met with Vice Governor of West Java, Deddy Mizwar, to discuss the security of Japanese citizens living in West Java. Tanizaki aims to protect his citizens from Islamic State of Iraq (ISIS).

Recently, ISIS beheaded Japanese hostage Kenji Goto. They also threatened to slaughter other Japanese citizens.

Deddy Mizwar said that about 2,000 Japanese citizens lived in West Java, with most of them lived in Karawang and Bekasi. "Japan invests much in West Java," Mizwar said on Wednesday, February 4.

He said that the meeting with Japanese Ambassador talked on how to protect the Japanese. Mizwar ensured that West Java was safe. "We have security and police everywhere," he said.
