REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, WASHINGTON -- Larry Leroy Floyd, 24, was babysitting at his sister's house on Saturday when he used a knife to try to slice off his nephew's foreskin, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

The boy's father returned from a shopping trip to find his son bloodied and crying. He called 911, but by the time officers arrived, he had already taken his son to hospital.

There was another uncle in the home at the time, but reportedly he was in another room and unaware of what Floyd was attempting to do.

?He heard the baby crying as the father arrived (back home),? Sgt. Michael Sommer told the New York Daily News. ?He rushed out and said `Your son is bleeding.

There have been no updates on the boy's condition, but Sommer said he expects him to recover.

Floyd was charged with domestic aggravated battery, the Sentinel reported. He remained in jail on Monday morning.
