REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MEDAN -- Boarding the presidential aircraft, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) along with his entourage arrived at the Soewondo Airport in Medan, North Sumatra, at 9:50 a.m. local time, on Tuesday, for a working visit.
On his arrival, President Jokowi was greeted by North Sumatra Governor Gatot Pujo Nugroho, Bukit Barisan Military Commander Major General Winston Simanjuntak, and North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Eko Hadi Sutejo, among several others.
The president, accompanied by Governor Gatot Pujo Nugroho, then boarded an Air Force Super Puma helicopter H-3205 to visit Kuala Tanjung in Batubara district.
At Kuala Tanjung, the head of state will inspect PT Inalum and attend the groundbreaking ceremony of an international port development project.
On the occasion, the president will also inaugurate various strategic projects in North Sumatra, including the Sei Mangke Special Economic Zone.
