Dead bodies of executed drug convicts sent out of Nusakambangan

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CILACAP -- The bodies of four of five drug convicts executed on the island of Nusakambangan off southern Central Java were sent out of the notorious island at around 03.55 local time on Sunday.

Five drug convicts were executed on the island earlier on the day at 00.40 local time , Cilacap police chief Adj. Sr.Comr. Ulung Sampurna Jaya said.

The four bodies were those of Dutch Ang Kim Soei (62), Brazilian Marco Archer Cardoso Mareira (53), Malawian Daniel Enemua (38), and Indonesian woman Rani Andriani alias Melisa Aprilia (38).

Four ambulances rolled out of the ship of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, the Pengayoman IV, that carried the cars with the bodies from the island upon arrival at the quay of Wijayapura in Cilacap.

The cars immediately left the quay with police guards.

The bodies of Ang Kim Soei and Marco Archer Cardoso Mareira were to be cremated in Kalibagor, regency of Banyumas, Central Java and that of Namaona Denis was brought to Jakarta. The ambulance that carried the body of Melisa Aprilia proceeded to Ciranjang, Cianjur, West Java, where she asked to be buried near the grave of her mother.

The ashes of the body of Ang Kim Soei was to be sent to Malaysia and those of Marco Acher Cardoso Mareira is to be sent to Brazil.

The body of another convict executed in the island Namaona Denis (38) from Malawi was buried on the island Cilacap , Ulung Sampurna Jaya said.
