Bodies from missing AirAsia QZ8501 found

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) has found six bodies near the site where they found debris of missing AirAsia flight QZ8501. The team immediately evacuate the bodies to be identified.

"We have found six bodies," Public Relations of Basarnas, Yusuf, said on Tuesday, December 30. The bodies were found in Pangkalan Bun.

He could not ensure the completion of evacuation due to bad weather. However, every personnel of Basarnas are sent to the area. The search will be focused on the site.

Head of Basarnas, Henry Bambang Sulistyo, said every technology and equipment for rescue as well as divers was also sent to the site. "If the location is confirmed, we will secure the site for investigation," he said.

Vice President Jusuf Kalla thanked Basarnas and other rescue team for their hard work finding missing AirAsia QZ8501. He said that President Joko Widodo and several ministers would visit the site where Basarnas found debris and bodies.
