REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) decides to keep its maximum guaranteed rupiah deposit rate at 7.5 percent until January 14, 2015. The agency also holds its guaranteed dollar deposit rate at 1.5 percent.
"We have evaluated both rupiah and dollar guaranteed rate based on deposit market rate in general banks from November 17 to December 12," LPS's Secretary Samsu Adi Nugroho said on Friday, December 19. Within the period, rupiah deposit rate in general banks remained unchanged, while dollar deposit rate slightly decreased at 2 basis points (bps).
LPS also sees that banks have stable liquidity with the growth of third party funds (DPK) in line with Bank Indonesia's target. However, tight liquidity risk is still there.
