REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesia signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on industry with Italy. The agreement, signed by Indonesia's Ministry of Trade and Italy's Ministry of Economic Development, is aimed to enhance cooperation on textile.
Director of Industrial International Cooperation Agus Tjahjana Wirakusumah said the MoU could boost cooperation between governments and private sectors. "The cooperation will kick off in early 2015," he said on Friday, December 12.
The agreement includes cooperation in infrastructure of product testing and textile sector. Italy also provides workshop for Indonesian workers in term of industry.
"We will exchange expertise and training to build capacity on textile design, garment and shoes," he said.
