REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, RAMALLAH -- The Palestinian leadership decided on Wednesday to meet on Friday to consider stopping of security coordination with Israel, after the killing of Palestinian official, Ziad Abu Ein.
Among other main issues open for discussion would be joining a number of international treaties, including the International Criminal Court (ICC).
According to Palestinian news agency (WAFA), the Palestinian leadership said in a statement that it will also discuss a draft decision of establishing the Palestinian state on the 1967 borders and to set a timetable to end Israeli occupation.
The meetings attended by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas also covered the issue of calling on UN Secretary General to form an international committee and to increase peaceful protests amid Israeli settlements.
An official funeral will take place tomorrow for Ziad Abu Ein and will be attended by Palestinian President Abbas.
Earlier, President Abbas said that Israel would try not to assume responsibility for the death of Palestinian official, Ziad Abu Ein, after he was attacked by Israeli forces during a peaceful protest.
"What happened today is a crime that cannot be ignored, this is why the leadership meets during these moments to decide what is needed," he said, shortly after issuing a statement in which described the incident as a "barbaric act.
"All options are open for discussion and implementation," he said, suggesting that Israel would claim "several scenarios" in order to plead innocence over the incident.
