REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The export reference price (HPE) of mining products will decline in December as a result of international price fluctuation, a senior official said.
"International price fluctuations caused the HPE of mining products to decline," Director General of External Trade of the Ministry of Trade Partogi Pangaribuan stated here on Saturday (29/11).
The HPE price will be decreased through the Trade Minister's decree number 87/M-DAG/PER/11/2014 on export reference prices of processed mining products, which are subject to exit tax, issued on November 26 (Wednesday).
The mining products that will be subjected to exit tax are copper concentrate, zinc concentrate, lead concentrate, iron concentrate, manganese concentrate, ilmenite concentrate, and other titanium concentrates.
The base price for the HPE calculation referred to the world metal information center Asian Metal for iron and manganese concentrates, while those for copper, lead and zinc concentrates were based on the London Metal Exchange (LME).
