REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Government plans to give corporate tax incentive after the fuel price hike. Minister of Finance, Bambang Brodjonogoro said the tax incentive scheme was not much different from previous year.

"It could be like before. We encourage companies to not do layoffs," Brodjonogoro said recently.

In 2013, through Minister of Finance Regulation No. 124/2013, taxpayers got tax incentive and the delay in payment of income tax for several periods, but they could not do layoffs. Taxpayers who earn such incentive is a company engaged in manufacturing apparel, footwear, furniture, textiles. The tax incentives reached 25 percent of the amount to be paid by a company per month.

Government has ensured to raise fuel price for gasoline and diesel. It will put pressure on businesses. Government did not yet decide the new price, but the increase would be implemented before 2015.
