REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Sofyan Djalil will continue the Master Plan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesian Economic Development (MP3EI) program. He will revise several things that need evaluation.
"All good policies will be continued. Maybe there are some things that need to be reviewed," Djalil said recently.
According to him, the most important thing is the policy aims for the good of the country and the economy. Djalil will review MP3EI projects one by one. These projects are considered to be good, but are constrained to be driven.
"We will see case by case. A good project must be supported by government," Djalil said recently.
MP3EI is a program to accelerate the economic development of infrastructure and real sector based on Presidential Regulation No. 32/2001 on MP3EI 2011-2025.
MP3EI program was officially launched in 2011 by former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. MP3EI is seen as an ambitious plan, consisted of hundreds of projects with a total value of more than 800 trillion IDR. It is expected to help Indonesia to achieve the developed country status by 2025.
