REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Vice Chairman of Gerindra Party, Fadli Zon said that Prabowo Subianto was ready to meet Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo to strengthen both relationship. Previously, Jokowi has met with Chairman of Golkar Party, Aburizal Bakrie who is member of the Red and White Coalition.

"If Jokowi wants to meet Prabowo, I think that Mr Prabowo very welcomes," Zon said on Wednesday.

According to Zon, Jokowi's intention to meet Prabowo is a good thing although there are differences of opinion among both coalition.

The deputy speaker of the House of Representatives also welcomes the efforts of People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), which invited all chairmen of parties in the Red and White Coalition to come to presidential inaguration on Oct 20.

However, he did not know when the invitation would be given to Prabowo.

Meanwhile, Indonesia Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) hopes Prabowo to meet Jokowi. Deputy Secretary General of PDIP, Achmad Basarah said that Jokowi's plan was a test for Prabowo. The four star general must be able to show a statemanship attitude to accept the meeting requested by Jokowi.

PDIP never felt to have problem with Gerindra Party, especially Prabowo. Basarah said that presidential election was not a war that should be extended.

"It was over," Zon said.

Jokowi was scheduled to meet with chairmen of the Red and White Coalition. In near future, he also plans to visit Prabowo.
