REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Outgoing President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono had invited President-elect Joko "Jokowi" Widodo to attend an orientation at the State Palace before the inauguration, Indonesia's Coordinating Minister of Economy Chairul Tanjung stated.
"President Yudhoyono invites Jokowi to come for an orientation at the State Palace on Saturday (Oct. 18) or Sunday (Oct. 19)," Minister Chairul Tanjung stated on Monday.
Regarding the inauguration on October 20, 2014, Chairul remarked that the government had invited all factions of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) to attend the event. The coordinating minister was also hopeful that the executives would be able to accomplish their assigned tasks by October 19 prior to the inauguration of the new president.
