REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TIRANA -- The seventh International Summer Film Festival opened on Wednesday in Durres, a western port city of Albania.

The festival was to be held in five Albanian cities including Durres, Tirana, Vlora and Pogradec, from Wednesday to Sunday.

The International Summer Film Festival in Durres served as an important summer activity for Albanians, aimed at establishing ties between Albania and its neighboring states and Europe, as well as improving cinema of Balkan culture.

The presence of Hollywood stars in previous festivals including Ford Coppola, Milos Forman and Claudia Cardinale has increased audiences' expectations in this festival.
