One 'hafiz' per village in Cianjur

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CIANJUR -- Cianjur regency, West Java encourages its people to recite the whole Quran. A Quran recitation competition will be implemented in October 2014. Local government asked all society to support this program.

"This program aims to graduate hafiz of the Quran, one person per village," Cianjur regent, Tjetjep Muchtar Soleh said recently.

The program is in line with Cianjur vision to urge its people to implement the morality values (akhlaqul karimah). Local government has allocated funds for this program. They targetted that all villages in Cianjur could advance the next hafiz generation.

The funds will facilitate hafiz of the Quran to concentrate in memorizing the Holy book during a 20 months. The program is expected to print 360 hafiz of the Quran, who can memorize 30 juz of Quran, one person per village.
