REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Yudhoyono has asked two coordinating ministers and minister/state secretary to represent the incumbent government in holding dialogs with President-elect Joko Widodo's transition team, Chief Economic Minister Chairul Tanjung stated here on Friday night.

The three senior ministers assigned by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono were Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Chairul Tanjung, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, and Minister/State Secretary Sudi Silalahi.

Chairul said he and the other two ministers were given the mandate as the government's representatives to discuss important issues, so that the new government could work effectively and independently from October 21, 2014.

"I will do my best to bridge the new government with regard to what the incumbent government has done, so that the new government Joko Widodo, better knownh as Jokowi, can work directly with vigor," Chairul emphasized.

Chairul is charged with the task of providing information on the national economic condition; Djoko Suyanto on providing directives regarding political, legal, and security conditions; and Sudi Silalahi on presidential protocol and household affairs.

However, Jokowi's transition team has not yet made an official request for a meeting with the current government to discuss matters relating to transitional government issues.

"The incumbent government is currently waiting. If we take the initiative, we fear that everyone will suspect us of dictating (our will) to the new government. We will not make a request, and until now we have not received an official request," Chairul said.

He added that matters that will be discussed with the transition team are related to economic issues from the new government that are likely to be included in the Draft 2015 State Budget (RAPBN).

Because of these issues, the Budgetary Body of the House of Representatives (DPR) has delayed the deliberations of the RAPBN.
