REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Japan is ready to develop e-government system in Indonesia through sharing best practice conducted by experts in the country and local stakeholders. Executive Director of Indonesian Telecommunications Society (Mastel), Eddy Thoyib said on Friday that Japan would facilitate the system in collaboration with Waseda University, Tokyo.
They will share experience with Indonesian stakeholders. This event will be held at Indosat Building 25th floor, Central Jakarta on August 0, 2014.
"This event in form of knowledge sharing and best practice from Japan to Indonesia," Thoyib said.
Indonesian stakeholders come from local governments, especially mayors and regents from all provinces, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Bappenas, telecom operators, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and Ministry of Home Affairs.
"We hope that the event can open up about what to do and not in developing smart city and e-governement in Indonesia," Thoyib said.
He hopes that this cooperation can be developed widely into telecommunication sector investment.
