REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has asked Indonesian representative at United Nation (UN) to mobilize support to stop Israeli attack to Palestine. Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam said that President asked the representative to discuss with Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to stop the inhuman actions.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marty Natalegawa has communicated with Indonesian representative at UN, New York to cooperate with Palestinian representative, OIC and NAM to encourage UN to stop the military action in Gaza.
"This time is very appropriate. It is time for international community to call Israel to stop their inhuman actions," Natalegawa said on Friday.
Indonesia has sent a letter to NAM and OIC chairman in New York to hold a meeting to identify steps that can be carried out by all parties. More than 85 people have been killed, including dozens of civilians, and over 300 wounded since the offensive began on Tuesday in Gaza Strips.
