It is important to anticipate the possibility of mass mobilization for presidential election.
"We carry out the surveillance and monitoring to a number of one way roads, which are commonly used by residents to Indonesia in Belu district, Malacca and North Central Timor in East Nusa Tenggara," Border Security Task Force Commander, Lt Col Fransiskus Ari Susetio said recently.
Tightening security will peak three days before and after the election day. Military deployed the additional personnel at Mota Ain.
They also carried out more checks against visitors, such as personal data, the interest of arrival and departure in Timor Leste. Indonesian voters in Timor Leste have voted on July 5, 2014, while the national schedule will be held on July 9.
The difference of time voting will give the possibility of voters' mobilization from Timor Leste to East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. They will vote twice for particular candidates.
