REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JERUSALEM -- Israeli troops have raided the offices of a West Bank-based magazine, the publication's manager said on Monday, in the latest crackdown on Palestinian media.

"On Sunday at 4:00 am (0100 GMT), occupation forces broke into the company premises," said Sani Paul Meo, general manager of cultural magazine This Week In Palestine.

"Seven computers including the servers were confiscated," he said in a statement.

The army had no immediate comment on the alleged raid.

It came nearly two weeks after a Palestinian newspaper group stopped printing titles run by Islamist movement Hamas, after receiving a series of warnings from the Israeli army.

Newspaper group Al-Ayyam stopped printing Hamas newspapers Falastin, Al-Resala and Al-Istiqlal, just weeks after it resumed their distribution in the West Bank after a reconciliation deal between rival Palestinian factions.

In a separate crackdown on Palestinian media, Israeli police raided the Jerusalem studios of Palestine TV this month and briefly detained three staff for questioning.

Israeli public radio said police suspected Palestine TV of broadcasting "incitements to violence".
