REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KUDUS -- Central Java branch of the General Election Commission (KPU) has warned the public in Kudus district of money politics in the July 9 presidential election.
"If we want to elect a qualified leader, we have to do it with our conscience, not because of money politics," local KPU spokesperson Eni Misdayani said when speaking about election familiarization at the Griptha Hotel here on Thursday.
She said those who are eligible to vote in the upcoming presidential election should not be affected by money politics, but be smart to vote for a qualified leader.
A smart voter, according to her, should understand the public social background and the programs of the presidential and vice presidential candidates.
