REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Suhardiman, the founder of SOKSI, an organization of private company employees, has dismissed its general chairman Ade Komarudin for giving political support for presidential hopeful Prabowo Subianto and his running mate Hatta Rajasa.
SOKSI already announced its support for Prabowo's rival populist presidential candidate Joko Widodo better known as Jokowi and his running mate Jusuf Kalla (JK).
"Ade Komarudin has twice gone against the decision of the founder of SOKSI," member of SOKSI's Council of Experts Robinson Napitupulu told Antara news agency here on Thursday.
SOKSi has been known as one of the founding organizations of Golkar party which is part of the coalition of a number of political parties supporting Prabowo, but JK is a heavy weight leader and was former general chairman of Golkar.
Robinson Napitupulu said Ade Komarudin was officially dismissed on June 11 with a decision by Suhardiman.
Robinson said the decision came after Ade Komarudin declared his political position on June 7 supporting the Prabowo- Hatta camp in the presidential election on July 9.
Earlier Ade supported presidential bid of Golkar general chairman Aburizal Bakrie against SOKSI official's decision, before Aburizal, after failing to meet the requirement for a presidential candidate finally three his support for Prabowo.
Suhardiman has named Lawrence T.P Siburian as a new general chairman of SOKSI with an assignment to give political back up for Jokowi-JK camp.
