REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) opened a department store called Indonesia House in Milan, Italy.
The store aims to sell and distribute Indonesian products in Italy. Indonesia House has a warehouse in Genoa to store products imported from Indonesia. Those products can supply goods for Indonesia House as well as for other stores and shops selling Indonesian products.
Kadin's Deputy Chairman for Banking and Financial Sectors, Rosan P Roeslani said that Indonesia House was inspired by Aumai Spa Department Store, an Italian company owned by Chinese businessmen. The company sells various products generally from China.
"The department store is quite effective to sell and distribute Chinese products in Italy and Europe," Roeslani said in a written statement on Friday. "After Italy and then we will explore in Netherland and French."
