REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Four regional heads of Papua were among other leaders awarded Adipura or Green City Award by Vice President Boediono. Those regional heads are from Fak-Fak, Jayapura, Biak and Manokwari.

Among others is Regent of Fak-Fak, Muhammad Uswanas. He said that the award showed his strong commitment to environmental sustainability. Fak-Fak regency has abundant natural resources to be developed.

"I hope this award will inspire people to develop their areas," Uswanas said recently.

Fak-Fak has several cultural sites and potential natural resources such as beautiful sea. Those are potential to become tourist attractions and draw more tourists to visit.
