REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Presidential candidate of Gerindra party, Prabowo Subianto learned a lot from Golkar Party. He said that the banyan party has made this nation's history.

"Golkar contributed a lot to Indonesia," Prabowo said in a meeting with Golkar Party in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He asked all parties to contribute their thoughts, body and soul to maximize the country's development. Golkar has built this country for 32 years. Many national figures were born from the party, including Prabowo himself.

The four star general said that he learned politics from the party. He also named Prabowo as Golkar's nephew.

Chairman of Golkar Party, Aburizal Bakrie said that the meeting aimed to maximize the winning of Prabowo Subianto and his running mate Hatta Rajasa carried by coalition of Gerindra, National Mandate Party (PAN), United Development Party (PPP), Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), Crescent Star Party (PBB) and Golkar Party.
