Govt targets 252 millions of domestic tourist trips

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Director for Domestic Tourism Promotion of the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry, Tazbir said that government targeted 252 millions of domestic tourist movements during 2014.  

Thus, the exhibitions offering tourism attractions and products of creative industry in Indonesia were very effective to attract tourists, according to Tazbir on Sunday.

"Tourism exhibitions successfully attract tourists to trip from one region to another," he pointed out, adding those who will travel can get more information about tourist destinations through exhibition. 

Moreover, the provincial, district and city's governments across the country in cooperation with tourism organizers have been developing the potential of tourism to attract tourists to the regions. He also hopes that tourism exhibition can develop and promote tourism as well as a new hope for the sustainability of the local tourism objects.
