REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Former Vice President, Jusuf Kalla said that he had no ambition to be president or vice presidential candidate in 2014 election. Now he focuses on building and developing Indonesia.
"I am not interested the position, but how can we run this nation well," Kalla said on Thursday.
He has not seen any official proposal from any political party to carry him as president or vice president. All things are still dynamic depending on result of legislative election on April 9, 2014.
Kalla is assessed as an alternative candidate to accompany Joko Widodo (popularly known as Jokowi) from Golkar Party. In addition, 25 regional leadership council of National Awakening Party (PKB) also expressed its support to Chairman of Indonesian Red Cross (PMI).
