REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Action Sports Federation Indonesia (Foraksi) is ready to clean up the National Monument (Monas) professionally. The monument stood in 1961 and opened to public in 1975. It was ever once cleaned in 1992 by a Germany company, Karcher.

President Director of Indorope, Revilino who becomes the initiator for cleaning the monument said that he had been intended to do it since 2010, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Monas. Throughout the four years, Revilino never stop to realize his intention. However, he was not able to get the approval of the monument officials in Jakarta.

Foraksi will collaborate with Indorope, a company, which has worked in rope access services and trainings. Mechanical cleaning is carried out using rope access systems and treatment on monument's body, so that the cleaning process will be more flexible.

"We also carry out a marble coating and repair its damage. This cleaning process will be better than the previous," Revilino said recently as reported by Muhammad Hafil.

Foraksi received full support from Ministry of Youth and Sports. They welcome the activity. This support was also shown by PT Semen Indonesia (the largest cement company in the country), which had a historical relationship with the monument. This activity will not use state funds.
