REPUBLIKA.CO.ID,  MUNTOK -- The National Mandate Party (PAN) in West Bangka district, Bangka-Belitung (Babel) province, has called on the people in the district to reject money politics during the legislative elections on April 9, 2014.

"We hope the people and all legislative candidates here are getting more mature in avoiding money politics during the campaigns for the legislative elections," PAN regional executive board spokesman Dafitri said on Sunday.

She explained that PAN has all along made a commitment to avoiding money politics in its bid to grab legislative seats, because such a dirty practice would undermine the party's ideology.

"It is our commitment to not seeing money politics within the party because it will undermine the ideology of our party," she noted.

According to her, PAN will continue to uphold its ideology, vision and mission, and struggle to build the people trust by getting close to them up to remote areas.

"Anti money politics is part of our way to give political education to the people to improve regional development," she asserted.

"Many politicians have made a lot of success without money politics, and it will become an example for PAN to build West Bangka district to a better direction," whe went on.
