Govt to have market consultation on refinery project

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Government and 20 companies will have a market consultation in Singapore on Tueasday. The consulatation is related to oil refinery construction project in Indonesia.

"We want to hear what investors want and will inform them about our preparations," Deputy Minister of Finance, Bambang PS Brodjonegoro said on Monday.

Government has prepared three important aspects of development plan, namely the availability of land, tax incentives and the off takers (the buyer of refinery products). After the market consultation, government will ask for proposals from those companies, pre-qualification, then tender process. The refinery project will be integrated with petrochemical refinery. 

Oil refinery construction scheme is offered by government in form of public private partnership. The investment value of refinery plant is estimated around 90 trillion IDR on area of 400 hectares of land.
