REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesia-Singapore joint venture airlines, Tigerair Mandala cuts 11 flight routes untill a certain time limit. Public Relations Manager Tigerair Mandala, Lucas Suryanata explained the flight suspension began on February 10, 2014 for route of Surabaya – Hongkong (RI 650/651).
Next, Surabaya – Kuala Lumpur (RI 742/743) on Feb 11, Jakarta – Kuala Lumpur (RI 700/701) and Jakarta – Pekanbaru (RI 72 /73) on Feb 18, Medan (Kuala Namu) – Singapura (RI 861/862) on Feb 19, Jakarta – Yogyakarta (RI 344/345). Tigerair Mandala also cuts flight routes of Pekanbaru – Singapore (RI 871/ 70) and Jakarta - Singapore (RI 808/809) on March 03, Jakarta – Surabaya (RI 520/529) and Surabaya – Bangkok (RI 914/915) on March 17, as well as Jakarta – Hongkong (RI 652/657) on April 11, 2014.
As reported by Aldian Wahyu Ramadhan recently, customers cannot purchase their tickets for those times. Passengers who are already having tickets will soon get notifications about the flight adjustment or refunds.
Tigerair Mandala, which is 51 percent owned by Saratoga Investment Corp and 33 percent by Singapore based Tigerair Group, joined domestic airline market in 2012.
