6 Killed in C. Philippine Landslide, Floods

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MANILA -- Landslides and floods caused by tropical storm Kajiki (local name: Basyang) killed six people in central Philippines, the local disaster agency said Monday.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council ( NDRRMC) said one person was also injured while five others remain missing.

NDRRMC said tropical storm Kajiki affected a total of 9,328 families or 42,987 individuals in nine provinces in central and southern Philippines.

The storm also damaged 83 houses and rendered a number of roads in central Philippines impassable.
