REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PALU -- Greater Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) chief patron Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to attend the peak commemoration of the party's 6th anniversary in the Central Sulawesi provincial capital of Palu on Sunday (Feb 9).

Prabowo and entourage will visit the city by a special flight, the chief of the party's Central Sulawesi provincial executive board, Longki Djanggola said here on Saturday.

During his stay, Prabowo will deliver a political oration before party cadres in Central Sulawesi and attend a number of activities marking the party's 6th anniversary, he said.

The activities include free cataract operations, mass circumcision, arts and sports, he said.

"We will also give free milk to thousands of elementary school students through the so-called "white revolution" program," he said.

Longki who is also the Central Sulawesi governor said the series of activities will be held from February 4 to 9. The peak commemoration of the party's 6th anniversary will take place at Siranindi sports building. Hundreds of cadres from 10 districts and one municipality in the province will attend the event.

Longki is the only Indonesian governor from Gerindra.
