Power cut in 433 substations due to flood

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - State owned electricity company, PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) cut power of 433 substations in Jakarta until Sunday, due o floods. The substation are located in Cengkareng area, Teluk Naga, Lenteng Agung, Bandengan, Kebun Jeruk, Cempaka Putih, Kramat Jati, Jatinegara, Marunda, Menteng, Tanjung Priok and Pondok Kopi.

"We will return the power after customers' houses have been completely dry," Deputy Manager of Communication and Community Development in PLN Jakarta and Tangerang, Roxy Swagerino said earlier.

He also asked people affected by floods to ensure meter circuit breaker (MCB) in off position to prevent electrical short circuit. When the water receded, they must dry the electric equipments before using them.
