Air Asia opens new headquarters in Tangerang

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TANGERANG - Malaysia based airline Air Asia opened its new office in Tangerang, Banten on Friday. The new office will be officially operated on February 2014 and become new headquarters to all crews of Air Asia Indonesia.

CEO of Air Asia Indonesia, Darmadi said this office was built on area of 6,500 square meters with a building of 11,500 square meters.

"This office aims to improve corporate function and operational synergies, also improving the effectiveness of communication between departments and all employees," Darmadi said on Friday.

The presence of new office will reduce operating cost of Air Asia Indonesia as the company will move all employees from previously based at Terminal 1A Soekarno - Hatta Airport, Batavia and Soewarna Tower to the new headquarters. Darmadi said that the company currently had two thousand employees spread across Indonesia. The figure has increased 395 percent compared to 2005.

This new office is equipped with many facilities, such as auditorium, lobby, working area and lounge, cafe, entertainment room and music studio. This office is a symbol of Air Asia Indonesia's commitment to serve high quality of low cost flight.
