Iran, IAEA to meet late January

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TEHRAN -- Iran's representative to the IAEA has said a positive atmosphere has been created between Iran and the IAEA.

Mehr News quoted Reza Najafi speaking after the second round of Iran and the Agency meetings in Vienna.

"Iran and the IAEA agreed to meet in another session in January 21 2014," he said. Iran and the IAEA met in the second round of talks today (Wednesday) in the IAEA headquarters in Vienna.

Najafi who is the head of Iran's negotiating team with the IAEA had said before the talks that the meeting on Wednesday was agreed upon last month by Tehran and the IAEA. "We discussed the implementation of actions agreed in the first round, and also the second step of the agreement," he said.

The meeting was attended by the IAEA deputy director general Tero Varjoranta.

The second round was held on Tuesday in Vienna.
