Garuda Indonesia to serve flight of Mamuju - Makassar

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAMUJU - State owned flight carrier, PT Garuda Indonesia will serve new route flight of Mamuju - Makassar, from West to South Sulawesi on December 18, 2013.

Head of Information and Communication Department in West Sulawesi, Suparto Umar explained that Garuda Indonesia had conducted an assessment of existing market potential in Mamuju.

Therefore, Garuda does not have problems in operating flight in both cities every day. Garuda Indonesia will undergo a test on airport runaways of Tampapadang Mamuju.

"We expect Garuda will not face any problems, so that the airline can operate aircraft with capacity of 96 seats," Umar said recently.

The entry of Garuda Indonesia will facilitate interconnection in Mamuju. During this, there is only one type aircraft operating in Mamuju, namely Lion Air with capacity of 76 seats. Most people do not get this service.

Chairman of Parliament in West Sulawesi, Hamzah Hapati Hasan saw that there would be a healthy competition in airline services in Mamuju. Residents will get better airline services.
