REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- About 29 Indonesian teams will compete in World Robot Olympiad (WRO) 2013 in Jakarta on November 16-17, 2013. All participants are challenged to complete the creation of Lego robot with various difficulty levels.
"They are invited to creatively resolving the challenges," Chairman of Organizing Committee of WRO 2013, Bambang Rusli said recently.
This worldwide competition not only highlights personal creativity, but also teamwork, innovation, creativity and team problem solving skills. WRO 2013 participants comes from 37 countries. They exhibit their creations at Ecovention Hall, Ecopark, Ancol, while participants of Olympic Soccer Robot Category enthusiastically led their robot to be able to make score.
WRO 2013 consists of several categories, namely regular category, including elementary school level with Batik theme, junior high school with theme of Borobudur and senior high school with theme of Komodo Island. There is a creative robot competition category for elementary, middle and high schools, category of soccer robot, also student robot competition.
WRO 2013 is followed by 385 teams consisted of 1,500 participants from 37 countries. The robot competitions are regularly held every year since 10 years ago. This is the first time Indonesia to host the competition.
