India keen to invest cement plant in Lebak

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, LEBAK -- Indian company is interested in investing cement factory in Lebak, Banten province in order to support Master Plan for Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesian Economic Development (MP3EI). Director of PT Bhakta Insusindo, Kumar visited the location in Bojongmanik district, Lebak regency on Sunday.

"We want to invest in cement plant as there is so much basic raw material of cement plant in Lebak regency. I'm sure that the cemen plant can certainly meet the needs of national market," Kumar said recently.

The company plans to join with a British company. Head Investment of Investment and Integrated Licensing Services Board (BMP2T) in Lebak regency, Agianto Ahmad Tahir said that many foreign companies were interested in opening cement plant in Lebak. It is because so many raw materials scattered in Lebak regency, Cilograng, Panggarangan, Bojongmanik and Muncang. Local government will provide security to make conducive situation to invest in Lebak.

"It can absorb local jobs for community," Tahir said.
