Indra Sjafri to boost physical performance of U-19 players

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The U-19 national team training camp has started (TC) in preparation for competing in the finals of U-19 Asia Cup in Myanmar next year. The TC held in the Kusuma Agrowisata field, Batu, East Java, on Saturday (9/11).

As per the program which has been designed, TC in Batu which is the first phase is focused on improving the physical condition of players. Indra wanted the Garuda Jaya squad player has an average VO2max in figures 60-65.

However, Indra still gives light training materials on the first day.

Players simply instructed to stretch the patterns simple exercises such as juggling and dividing players into small groups to play on one or two touches.

Before getting into more serious material to boost physical player, Indra will hold a physical test. 

"We now do not know how far the effect to player condition after a holiday yesterday. Therefore there will be a physical test approximately on the next two days," he said to ROL.
